George Taylor is the recently retired Chief Executive Officer of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA). He had responsibility for leading all aspects of the country’s largest and richest Professional Rodeo organization representing over 5,000 competing athletes, 700 Professional Rodeos and entertaining 6 million fans annually. George and his team led the PRCA through an unprecedented period of profitable growth and increased media exposure.
Prior to joining the PRCA, George was Chief Marketing Officer and President of Caterpillar Venture Capital. During a 20-year career, he held numerous P&L / General Management, Marketing and Sales roles. Before joining Caterpillar, George had a 14-year career with IBM. He began in 1984 as a systems engineer and held several managerial positions before becoming IBM’s Caterpillar Global Client Executive.
George is a native of Peoria, Illinois, and graduated from Illinois State University with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. He completed a senior executive program at Harvard University and received his MBA from the University of Illinois. Past Board experience includes Association of Equipment Manufacturers Construction Equipment Sector Board, Trimble VirtualSite Solutions Board, Salvation Army, National Finals Rodeo Committee, ProRodeo Hall of Fame, and Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund.
George and his wife Chris have two daughters, one son and four grandchildren.
